Classic Divorce Jokes

A recently divorced guy buys himself a new Red CORVETTE with 600 hp, a car he couldn't have while married. While speeding down the highway one day, a highway patrol car comes up behind him with his red lights flashing and siren running.
He floors the CORVETTE and pulls away from the patrolman.
Several miles down the road he sees a helicopter overhead and thinks it better if he just pulls over.
The Patrolman shows up walks to the car and asks "why were you driving so fast and trying to outrun me"?
He answers "My wife left me about a year ago, she ran off with a Highway Patrolman and I was afraid you might be trying to bring her back!"
